Confidata Shreds for A Cause

Confidata partnered with Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency (OCRRA) on Saturday, September 19 for a shredding event that benefited the Food Bank of Central New York. The Food Bank of CNY is headquartered in Syracuse and serves Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, and St. Lawrence counties.

From 8am until Noon, Onondaga County residents brought their confidential documents to NBT Stadium along with a voluntary donation of money or non-perishable food items (or both), and in turn had their sensitive paperwork shredded at no additional cost. September is Hunger Action Month, and Confidata helped the Food Bank of CNY collect $3,069.43 in monetary donations and 897 pounds of food.

Confidata’s Rob Shauger said, “We’re glad to help the Food Bank of Central New York with this event. They serve many communities where we work, and we thought that this was a great way for us to help our neighbors in those areas.”
